Sure my mom loves the show, but what did you think?

Bravo! This show is excellent. I was as if Ray Charles was there himself. I really enjoyed it, and would see it again if possible. As always, your show's are top notch.
I’m in total disagreement with Jay Reiner's critique of Ray Charles Live! on Yahoo. Brandon Victor Dixon was amazing in his portrayal of Mr. Ray Charles Robinson. The comparison between Dixon and Foxx are inevitable but unfair. I remind you that in theatre you only get one chance and Mr. Dixon did not miss a beat or nuance. It’s interesting to note that almost all of the online audience reviews are also in total disagreement with your very biased critique. With regard to Dixon’s diction, I think he did quite well. This is theatre and to speak in a rich southern dialect while at the same time being understood by a diverse audience is quite a feat. The singers and dancers are phenomenal. The strongest, most versatile cast I’ve seen in a very long time. I encourage all in the Pasadena area to see the play and make your own assessment. After reading Jay Reiner's review, I will never trust his judgment again. I hope this production goes to Broadway and receives the highest accolade possible, a Tony Award.
This show was fabulous!!! The music(played by a wonderful orchestra-thank you for that), the story, the actors, the singing, the dancing, the entire production was superb!! Absolutely Tony Award winning caliber> Congrats the the Playhouse and all involved in this amazing production.
Adela G. The show was wonderful...I enjoyed every minute. It was better than the movie "Ray". The cast was excellent. Victor Dixon was amazing as Ray. Great way to end the year! Congrats to the Pasadena Playhouse
Pasadena Playhouse has been inundated with generous messages of support and many have offered to pledge money to help keep this venerable institution operational. We appreciate these efforts enormously. We will keep you posted about what is happening, and if there are any fundraising events or pledge drives created officially by Pasadena Playhouse or one of our generous partners.
Thank you.
