The Night is a Child, written by Charles Randolph-Wright, will be directed by Pasadena Playhouse Artistic Director Sheldon Epps and will run September – October, 2009. This is the second collaboration between Randolph-Wright and Epps, the first being Blue in 2001.

Playhouse favorite Charles Randolph-Wright (Blue and Cuttin’ Up) returns to Pasadena with his new play! This glorious new drama takes you on a journey of discovery, forgiveness and understanding in the land of the Samba - Brazil! Randolph-Wright delivers an amazing theatrical experience by mixing fantasy, realism and the lilting sounds of Brazilian music.
