The Playhouse has partnered with WriteGirl, a creative writing and mentoring program for teen girls in the greater Los Angeles area (now in its eighth tremendous year) to create a very special event! On May 3, 2009 the Playhouse campus will turn into a WriteGirl venue with over 150 girls attending workshops and breakout sessions during the day. Aspiring writers will work alongside professional women writers of all genres to create new works right on the spot. Then, later that evening, you can join us for a us for a star-studded performance of their work on the Playhouse Mainstage!
Confirmed celebrities include Christine Lahti, Melora Hardin, Dana DeLany, JoBeth Williams, Melroa Harden, and Sprague Grayden among others - with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
Ticket Levels
VIP ($100): Includes a pre-show reception and silent auction on the courtyard (food and jazz music provided), premier seats for the performance on the Mainstage and a post-show reception in the Playhouse Donor Lounge (a chance to mingle with WriteGirl aspiring writers and their mentors). 
Premier ($50): Includes a pre-show reception and silent auction on the courtyard (food and jazz music provided) and tickets to the performance on the Mainstage.
Standard ($20): Best available seats to the performance on the Mainstage.
Receptions are generously provided by Nancy Silverton (Mozza), Silverlake Wine, CanelĂ, barbrix, BLD, Little Dom's, Cliff's Edge, Border Grill and Ciudad Catering, Cake Monkey, Hocus Pocus Winery, Veno Kado and Sweets for the Soul.
